I love to create art because it just brings you to a new level. You get to authentically be yourself and be heard through creating.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Well when it comes to the type of art to create I’m “outside of the box” I’m more of a multidisciplinary Black creative with a playful healing-inner-child aesthetic. There isn’t just ONE style I like. I like creating experiences and conversations pieces
Where do you find inspiration?Honestly, my inspiration just shows up in real time—it’s not something I have to force. A lot of it comes straight from what I’ve been through or what I’m currently navigating in life. If I feel it heavy, I create it heavy. If I’m healing from it, I’m painting it. If I don’t have the words for it yet, I let the canvas say it for me.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were given $25,000, I would approach it as an opportunity to build stability and long-term structure rather than temporary comfort. Right now, I am in a season of life where I am working, attending school, and building my creative business, while also managing everyday responsibilities. Because of that, my priority would not be spending quickly, but creating a foundation that moves me out of survival mode and into consistency. Later, I plan to create a fine arts camp for kids and preteens.
