I love creating art because of the entire process—it’s a way for me to tell a story in a voice that only I have.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is the kind that draws on my thoughts and challenges my creativity. I enjoy creating with my hands—whether it’s carving stone, working with clay, painting, or exploring textiles.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration for my artwork in everyday situations. Whether it’s my 8-year-old daughter, the lush forests of Michigan, or my own emotions, my surroundings and daily experiences play a major role in shaping my creativity.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would use it for my art school that I've recently created, and provide artist who may not have the financial resources, the opportunity to take art classes. The funds would go toward student enrollment, necessary materials, and developing a space that fosters creativity and effective learning.
