Art allows me to display whatever emotions I'm feeling inside. Art therapy helped me with horrible depression.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love many forms of art, painting being the most soothing. I sculpt and work with clay. Contemporary art i think is my favorite type of art. I enjoy the masters from Michaelangelo, DaVinci, Van Gogh, Warhol, and so many others. With clay I found i could not use the wheel due to neuropathy. I was encouraged to handbuild. There's something magical about using your hands in the clay. Sculpting is personal, from choosing the rock, the tools, and how to shape that rock into a statement.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in nature, seeing how people move, history, cultures. The world is a canvas for someone like me. It could be something as simple as watching kids play to something devastating.
What would you do with $25,000?That money would help to get my art out there to share and replenish supplies needed to do the work.
