Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I gravitate towards illusion, but “realistic” illusions that feel grounded in their presentation. Taking what one sees as an ordinary view and shifting it towards a moral question, or challenging its scale with a trick of the light and a well planned shadow. Most of my work deals with subconscious symbols utilized to communicate universal truths. I try to stay unbiased, grounded in a morality I believe is in nature, therefore in all of us. If only we slowed down to listen to its heartbeat.

Where do you find inspiration?

Everything, everywhere. Once I learned the beauty of presence, I began to find inspiration in the wildest of places. Moss growing on concrete, the shadow cast by growing saplings during sunset. Numerology, Astrology, geometry, psychism. Balancing the moral scales, and showing the discrepancy in unconventional ways is another big inspiration for me. The world’s paradoxes could drive any person mad, I choose to use it to show people reality, in the hopes they will feel it viewing the works.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would invest in my art, my dreams; because as I rise I want all of my people to rise. Life is about sharing joy, love & laughter. As someone who grew up with a lot of emotional chaos, I have made hard decisions to protect my joy, and want to continue to share it with others. In today’s world money doesn’t provide happiness, but a relief from financial struggles would help provide me with some peace,so I can continue on my creative and spiritual journey, hoping to enlighten others along the way
