My favorite type of art to create is abstract painting—filled with movement, layers, and vibrant, bold colors. I love the freedom it gives me to express emotion and energy in a way that feels natural and intuitive. My goal is always to create something that lifts someone’s spirit, jumps off the canvas, and brings a smile to their face.
Where do you find inspiration?My biggest inspiration comes from the ocean. I often take long walks by the beach, and there’s something about the movement, the colors, and the light that always sparks new ideas. I’m also inspired by nature as a whole—the colors around us, the trees, flowers, and especially a beautiful sunrise or sunset over the ocean. It’s those moments that bring a sense of calm and creativity into my work.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would continue building my life as an artist and creating work that inspires others. I would offer scholarships for beginner artists who need support and confidence to start. Painting has brought me peace and purpose, and this would allow me more time and space to create. As a caregiver for my mother, it would also help me get support for her, so I can continue to grow while being there for my family.
