Art is something I have control of, it’s a way to express myself. It’s a powerful method for me to tell stories and make things beautiful.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create involves taking an everyday object and turning it into something beautiful and unexpected. I’m drawn to bold colors and intricate designs, and I love making pieces that cause people to pause and take a closer look.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through emotions. For instance, when I’m really happy I find that I like to create art that represents that feeling so others can feel it too. I also get inspired from thinking about things in a different perspective, such as taking something ordinary and imagining it in a different way.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to help pay for my college. My parents work so hard for me to make sure that I don’t have any college debt. I’m very grateful for them and I would love to take the financial burden off their shoulders. This way I could help them out and make the most of my opportunities while in college.
