At eight years of age I found out I could make something beautiful, since then through all of my education, my heart just wants to create.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love sketching in pencil and ink, making woodcut prints, painting in watercolors, acrylic, and oil. All of these are inspired by the photographs that I take. I love calligraphy also. Especially if you combine calligraphy and a pen and ink drawing. I was intro to woodcuts in high school and never stopped. I love the smell of the wood, carving out the image and can’t wait to see the finished print. I graduated college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Photography. Eyes do create.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from my photographs, but if I am challenged I will find it in something that makes me happy to create. Lately I have been inspired by the Jed Dorsey Brave Artists Community. They make your old feelings of creativity come out. Once it is out you can’t stop trying to make beautiful things. I found all of my feeling that I had when I was in school learning how to do all of this. Now all I think of is how can I make a new creation that will make me happy.
What would you do with $25,000?What I would do with with $25,000, I would mainly save a lot of it for my children and grandchildren.
