I love making art because it makes me happy, I’m happiest when I’m creating, once my pencil touches that paper I feel free and alive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I really like to do comic book art, drawing superhero’s and comic book characters, I also like to create a mix of surrealist and bubbly illustrations. My favorite type of art to create is art that makes me happy and shows off my personality and who I am, art that brings people joy, and art that I have fun creating.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my dreams and in my curly hair, I use what I remember from dreams I’ve had throughout my life, in my illustrations. I find inspiration in the curls in my hair which I use to storytell in my work. My biggest inspiration is my dad, his paintings bring everyone joy and I always wanted to do the same. I grew up watching him paint and people loved his paintings, I always wanted my art to make people happy as well.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to get my own art studio and continue building my platform, buying more materials and essentially being able to make more art. I would use it to further my education as well and pursue my dream of being an art teacher and a comic book artist.
