Art is my escape. I love creating abstract pieces with simple details that let the viewer’s eyes explore and wander.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I primarily work with watercolor but have explored other mediums. A favorite project was a high school assignment where I created a collage from magazines and recreated it with colored pencils, shoutout to Mr. Morton. While I can paint realistically, I’m most drawn to abstract work. I love how abstract art evokes emotion, like your favorite song or a good movie.
Where do you find inspiration?I find a lot of inspiration in music. I love listening to different genres while I paint and letting the mood guide the piece. I’m also inspired by outer space, the ocean, different cultures, and color itself. Honestly, anything that sparks emotion and creativity!
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to help finish my college degree in marketing and to launch my art business. I’ve been exploring ideas like playing cards, bookmarks, and other custom products featuring my artwork. I’ve also had the opportunity to donate my art to the American Cancer Society of Alaska, and I would love to continue using my work to support meaningful causes while growing my business.
