From an early age I was encouraged to express myself with art & share my experiences and feelings.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Multi-medium acrylic based paintings have always been my favorite, although my range and ability in art spans through multiple mediums and varies from poetry, to music, drawing, pen & ink, etching, stained glass, weaving, print making, watercolor, and pottery. Growing up and being raised by artists I had access to a plethora of different supplies, experimenting and gaining knowledge from childhood to present, allowing all of the above to guide me to my current style.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes in so many forms for me, the biggest inspiration at the moment is my children and family, who alway see the best in me and encourage me to continue creating. My feelings and experiences, both past and present channel & guide my art. As a young adult, I made a lot of mistakes and caused a lot of darkness to those around me. By creating art I’m able to contribute beauty to the world in a meaningful manner.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to help my oldest daughter fund her newly developed mission of helping those in need- providing supplies and resources to the unhoused community in our area. I would also use some of the winnings for my family, so that they could have a creative space to share.
