I love the idea of creating something from nothing. What I mean by that is creativity begins with inspiration—whether it comes from another
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m drawn to hands-on, tactile work—especially using wood, fabric, and repurposed materials. My work leans toward mixed media and handcrafted pieces, where I can physically shape and build from the ground up. I focus on texture, geometry, and natural tones, and I value process over perfection.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through observation—how people think, behave, and express themselves, as well as from everyday moments that most people overlook. Spirituality is a major influence for me; it shapes how I interpret what I see and turn it into something visual. I’m drawn to subtle details, patterns, and contrasts, and I use those to guide what I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 as a starting point toward securing a warehouse-art space where I can create and also support other artists. My goal is to build a multi-purpose environment—part workspace, part event space, and part showcase for art and music. It wouldn’t be enough to purchase a warehouse outright, but it’s enough to begin—whether that’s a deposit, rent, or getting the space up and running. I’m interested in creating something raw and accessible.
