I create to preserve fleeting beauty—mapping memory, care, and place into forms that can be held, revisited, and shared.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create cartographic drawings and ceramic “memory maps”—layered, time-lapse worlds inspired by urban gardens, fleeting moments, and hidden ecologies. My vessels act as intimate architectural reliquaries, blending plant life, place, and memory into imagined cities that honor care, loss, and connection.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in overlooked urban gardens, fleeting natural moments, and acts of care—plants, insects, shadows, and shared spaces. Philadelphia’s hidden green pockets, personal memory, and lost architecture all inform my work, alongside daily rituals like cooking and knitting, where repetition, labor, and love quietly accumulate.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would upgrade my studio with safe equipment, proper storage, and better organization to support my process. I would also invest in my small, garage-based gallery, expanding its ability to exhibit and support local artists—creating a more accessible, well-equipped space for community, experimentation, and shared creative growth.
