What is your favorite type of art to create?

I work in fiber, mixed media, and ceramics, focusing on weaving and sculpture. I’m interested in slow processes and materials with history, using them to explore identity, memory, and sustainability. My practice is deeply shaped by the sense of community in textile and ceramics circles.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in weaving patterns, painters, memoirs, and everyday life, like clothing, fashion, and small moments I notice. I’m especially drawn to materials with histories and the quiet stories they hold, as well as the rhythms and structures embedded in traditional textile practices.

What would you do with $25,000?

I’d invest in my education and use the funds to make art more accessible by offering free classes and materials to my community.
