What is your favorite type of art to create?

It fluctuates. Abstract is my favorite when I find myself clinging too tightly to my ideas of perfection. I like heavy texture, so thick that it casts shadows. Botanicals are another favorite of mine. They embody the silent victory of growth, resilience and persistence (understated beauty). Capturing wildlife is gratifying for all of the little victories along the way that begin to make the artwork appear life-like. As a self taught artist, my approach is very intuitive and feeling-based.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration mostly in nature, photography and from artworks by other artists (their style, subjects, color palettes). I love immersing myself in the world of art to expand my horizons and challenge my own growth. I'm also inspired by the wonderful connections I make with those that my art resonates with, and my supporters who believe in me, and invest in my passion.

What would you do with $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would launch my next artistic endeavor: "The Art Movement" - a mobile gallery built from a converted box truck with professional lighting, flooring, and display walls. It would bring curated exhibitions into underserved communities, creating access to art where it’s often absent. This space would also uplift emerging artists through rotating shows and community events, turning art into a shared, accessible experience rather than a distant privilege.
