Aram Asarian is a Pittsburgh area visual artist exploring the intersection of nature and design.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is inspired by nature and designed compositions that includes still life paintings, people, and abstract paintings. I also create living breathing plant sculptures that test how a plant grows, creating a boundry where the plant would normally grow entitled Alteration of Plants.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature is a huge inspiration in the creation of my art, I often think about the artist Monet and his gardens and paintings, as well minimalist sculptures’ shapes and forms.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the money back into my art with a goal of having new plant series, full of paintings, drawings, and sculptures in a solo exhibition. As well finish the construction of my art studio that is in my old farmhouse. The ceiling is currently unfinished in the room with just insulation at the moment and I would like to finish the space so it’s more climate controlled to keep the art and plant life safe.
