I don’t hear the world—I see it. As a deaf artist, I turn emotion, movement, and human behavior into powerful visual stories.

My favorite art to create is abstract metal sculpture. I shape strong materials into forms that carry emotion and story. As a deaf artist, I express ideas through movement, texture, and space instead of sound. Each piece holds meaning—sometimes hidden—inviting viewers to explore and feel their own connection. My work reflects strength, tension, and silence, turning metal into a powerful visual language beyond words.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my everyday experiences, especially how I see and feel the world as a deaf artist. I notice details in movement, tension, and space that others may overlook. I’m inspired by human emotion—struggle, strength, silence—and by the raw qualities of metal itself. Each piece begins with a feeling or moment, which I transform into form, allowing the story to emerge through shape rather than sound.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would build my art practice and give deaf students real access to creativity. I would invest in tools, materials, and a studio, while creating hands-on workshops in deaf schools. As a deaf artist, I want to lead by example—proving that silence is not a barrier but a strength, and that art can open doors, build confidence, and change lives.
