Music. Specifically, rock and pop in the 60s/70s sense, with the occasional foray into classical-tinged neighborhoods among others. Each song is its own world, and I aspire to the variety of The Beatles.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m endlessly inspired by my parents, family, & friends, musical heroes (Dad at top), The Beatles, The Stones, Wilson, Bowie, ELO, Petty, Marley, Spielberg, great films, the lure of the next song, and giving it what it wants in its recording, creating worlds which will become time machines. Songs take us back, right? I’m also endlessly inspired by The Love Of My Life. She moved away when I was 16… -And ants teach me persistence. Of course, all Inspiration comes from God. Songs are gifts.
What would you do with $25,000?What a fun thought! I’m a 24/7/365 caregiver for my beautiful, amazing, 90-year-old mom, so I’d dream up some nice things for her, including a Zeen mobility device so she could practice walking with complete safety. Then I’d donate to a program that gives musical instruments to school kids. Lastly, I’d divide the remainder between more instruments/recording gear and advertising/promo for my monthly song releases! I’ve got hundreds of songs I need to share. The name of my band is SmileRecital.
