Art is a universal language, allowing the artist to speak to anyone while the viewer can personally interpret their own meaning.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Southwestern impressionism. I like to create paintings with more realistic images that have dreamlike, surrealistic elements. I am particularly drawn to the desert's flora and fauna. I like experimenting with foil, and mixed media.
Where do you find inspiration?Living in Southwestern Arizona, I get my inspiration by simply walking out my back door. Sunset or sunrise, the landscape changes dramatically in color, texture, and feel. I thoroughly enjoy watching the animals of the desert and their unique personalities which I then like to capture on canvas, wood or any number of backgrounds. I am so blessed to have coyote, bobcat, javelina, deer just to name a few wondering around. Plus amazing birds.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy my husband a lens for his camera he has been wanting, invest some into art supplies, and take my two daughters on a trip to Europe to visit galleries, museums, and other historical sights. I would be equally excited to win the $500. gift cart for art supplies. Just this experience is blowing my mind.
