I create art inspired by my life experience, informed by my travels, the natural world, historical and current events and places.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Painting, drawing, printmaking, stone sculpture and ceramics
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from eclectic sources. As a person with an active interest in people, cultures, history and science my art reflects that inspiration. Having lived in Europe. Latin America, Africa and the US I am fortunate to have had a broad and often deep experience of people and places distinct from my origins. These experiences have had a profound impact on my appreciation, understanding and wonder that I attempt to express through my artistic endeavors.
What would you do with $25,000?As co-founder of a project that is raising awareness and support for the University of California’s Natural Reserve on the Island of Limu (Santa Cruz) off the coast of Central California. The Island is unique. It was formally inhabited by a thriving Native California population of Chumash people. It is currently a natural reserve with a quarter section that is a National Park. The UC Reserve carries out research on the unique flora, fauna a cultural history of the island.
