What is your favorite type of art to create?

As a lifelong horror fan, I specialize in creating layered art inspired by horror movies, and I enjoy every piece I make. My absolute favorite, however, is creating surprise gifts for friends based on their personal photos. Whether it is a photo from a wedding, a vacation, their kids, or simply a captured moment that I know they find special, turning those memories into layered pieces is incredibly rewarding. The reaction, appreciation, and overall excitement I receive in return is as fulfilling

Where do you find inspiration?

Sometimes I see a photo, movie poster, advertisement, or any kind of image where I can immediately visualize the different layers of depth. It excites me to put in the effort to create. My deepest inspiration is always imagining someone seeing the final product at a show, an event, or online and saying, 'Okay, that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen!' The work is easier when my goal at its core is to bring joy to someone, and of course, it feels amazing to hear those compliments.

What would you do with $25,000?

$25,000 would change my life. I am just a regular guy trying to make art for a living, which means I am broke. That money would allow my youngest son and me to immediately move from Arizona to California, where my oldest son recently moved to chase his dreams. We miss him every day, and not being there to support him in person sucks. Being in the Los Angeles area would also be a huge help for my art. I would spend the rest on supplies, events, and opportunities to expand my visibility and sales.
