Realism is my passion. I enjoy challenging myself to see how much detail I can capture in a drawing and how every small element contributes to the overall piece. I primarily create pet portraits, but have also completed several portraits of people, which can be more challenging but incredibly rewarding.
Where do you find inspiration?Whenever I look at a clear, detailed photograph of a person or animal, I often imagine how it would translate into a drawing. I’m especially drawn to images where the eyes have incredible detail, and that will inspire me to recreate that in my work. At times, I’ll browse photography on Pinterest to see what sparks my creativity and captures my interest.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning 25k would be an absolute blessing. I’d definitely use it to pay off some debt and take a big weight off our shoulders. I’d also love to put some of it towards a down payment on a bigger home. We have a daughter and hope to grow our family someday, but our current house is a little too small for that. I’d also love to get my daughter some outdoor play equipment since she’s officially on the move now and happiest when she’s outside exploring.
