I create art to give form to emotion, memory, and the invisible layers of human connection that words cannot fully hold.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite work lives between portraiture and abstraction. I’m drawn to creating layered human forms where faces dissolve into color, texture, and movement. This process allows me to explore identity, intimacy, memory, and emotional complexity all at once. I love when a piece feels both fragile and powerful, like a visual echo of what it means to be human.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people, the emotions they hide, the stories carried in silence, and the connections that exist beneath the surface. I’m also inspired by memory, nature’s organic patterns, weathered textures, and the way time alters everything. Much of my work comes from observing how feelings overlap the way translucent layers overlap on paper: visible, invisible, and deeply intertwined.
What would you do with $25,000?This support would not only help me grow as an artist, but also give me the opportunity to share more meaningful work through local exhibitions and community spaces where art can create conversation and connection. I would also love to use that growth to inspire and teach younger generations who are passionate about art, encouraging them to see creativity as a powerful form of expression and storytelling.
