Expression through art is beautiful to me in the way it appears through feelings, to the random junk that pops into our heads, it’s beauty.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Digital art is my preferred medium simply because of its accessibility to so many tools in one place, but really there’s nothing like a blank canvas and a desk full of different materials and really getting your hands dirty.
Where do you find inspiration? At its simplest it’s the things I see every day. My friends, the media I consume, the places I’ve gone and go to. Everything revolves around art in a way and I do what I do because of that. But having grown up in Mexico and lived in Querétaro, its downtown is so artistic, the amount of small artists and vendors, the museums who constantly had a hand held out to literally anyone who was willing to show their art, it’s inspiring. To show my art there is a childhood wish of mine.
What would you do with $25,000?At 22 years old, that kind of money is life changing money, especially in the economy of our world. My mind just rushes with what I could possibly accomplish with that amount of money. My first apartment, helping my family, comfortably be able to continue college, planning something special with the friends and family that support me.. it’s simply too much and it almost feels unreachable but in the end I will be so incredibly grateful regardless.
