Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people watching at Venice beach, when I'm making & selling my art. I find inspiration on the dancefloor at late night afterhours, moving until the sun comes up. I'm inspired by the burning man culture & how much freedom people have in expressing themselves through music, dress & the art they make. I've been 9 times & hope to make it back this year for my 10th trip home to the playa.
What would you do with $25,000?I would create stencil structure sculptures that would be placed in different communities, worldwide. Like a pop-up shop, they'd be temporarily available or maybe even permanently erected in public spaces with permission. Each would consisting of patterns & textures native to the region they're placed in. So that anybody, anytime could go to it, & create off of it. Involving the use of the sculpture in stenciling with bleach or spray paint, just like I do.
