I create art to help people feel comfortable, seen, and understood, offering a safe space to express emotions and feel less alone.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is pen drawings that collage together different faces and cartoon characters into one piece. I love how freeing it feels to just keep going, letting everything flow without stopping to erase. There’s something powerful about accepting imperfections and turning them into part of the story, creating work that feels raw, honest, and completely my own.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in imperfection and emotional honesty. Letting go of perfection during COVID taught me to embrace uneven lines, empty space, and asymmetry. I’m drawn to grayscale and simplicity, where meaning comes from what’s left unsaid. When I use color, it’s intentional, guiding focus to what matters most.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would set aside a portion for my college fund to support my education and future goals. With the rest, I would invest in building my own art business by creating commissions and selling prints of my work. I’d use it as a foundation to grow my brand, develop my skills, and work toward starting a sustainable career as an artist.
