I create art to turn emotion into form, capturing truth, tension, and beauty in ways words alone can’t.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Photography is my favorite medium to create with because it captures truth and transforms it at the same time. A single frame can document reality, manipulate perception, reveal character, or create an entire world depending on light, composition, timing, and intention.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the differences between people, the tension between who they are and who they pretend to be. I’m drawn to inner conflict, unspoken emotions, cultural taboos, contradictions, identity, desire, shame, power, vulnerability, and the things people hide rather than show. I’m also inspired by contrast, beauty and chaos, intimacy and distance, tradition and rebellion, control and collapse. That tension is where the most honest stories live.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would create more art. I’d fund ideas that I’ve always wanted to bring to life, invest in concepts that deserve to exist, fund shoots, build worlds, collaborate with talented people, and give each vision the execution it needs. I’d use it to remove limitations and turn ideas into reality.
