Hello. My name is Adoria Ann Garcia and I’m 18yrs old. I’m a senior in high school and I aspire to be a comic artist!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m heavily into anime and creating my own comics. I’ve already created a mini comic for my high schools’ symposium that focused on the Masking Indians and the Black Diaspora. My current comic will be displayed next month during my schools art showcase. It’s titled Zodiac Avalon.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. I’m from New Orleans so you already know I get plenty inso from the city! I typically get my inspiration from watching anime, observing my surroundings while out and traveling. My grandfather owns a sports bar here and as a child, I grew up in an apartment above it. I’ve observed artists, musicians and Mardi Gras Indians my whole life, as a result. I’m sure that alone has inspired me a lot!!
What would you do with $25,000?Three words: PAY. FOR. COLLEGE!!
