I create art because it brings me joy and gives me a quiet place inside myself when life gets too loud.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating paintings that turn emotions into visual worlds. I’m curious about exploring inner landscapes; my own and other people’s. My portraits are based on different people and the lessons they have learned. In my latest series, I blend human figures with organic forms, creating pieces that feel soft at first, but reveal more the longer you look, especially around time and how it leaves its mark.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by emotions, personal experience, and the passing of time. I’m drawn to nature , the ocean especially. I see a parallel between coral reefs and people: many small parts coming together to form something whole. That idea of interconnection, of things evolving and leaving a mark, is what drives my curiosity and my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to create a studio-gallery space where art, inner exploration, and community come together. In a world of digital overload, it would be a place to slow down and reconnect. The space would host exhibitions, guided creative experiences, and give back to underserved communities. The funds would go toward space, materials, operational costs, and the first intimate gatherings.
