I specialize in large scale oils as an abstract expressions I find that oil is the best medium too express my creativity because of the depth and amount of colors I’m able to use.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere that I go. Whether it’s a place that I’ve been to, work that I’ve seen cities I visited, walking around in the woods or something as simple as the way the light the water when it’s raining. Constantly taking notes and all environments and experiences that I am in. And when I sit down in the studio to work, I pull from all of these experiences colors, symbols, buildings, people, places, and things.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use a portion of the money to fund an artist residency that I was accepted to in France. However, I’ve had problems generating funding to be able to go. The rest of the money I would use to produce a body of work focused on the impact of color on viewers’ serotonin and dopamine levels. The study would focus on the visually challenged and the colorblind and how color impacts emotion. The study will be called “Colors for the Blind”.
