I make art as an outlet for feelings I can’t articulate otherwise. As long as I can remember, nothing else has been so satisfying to me.

Drawing, particularly with pencil, has always been my favorite way to make art. When I was little, pencils were just something I had readily available.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. When I’m working on a piece, I tend to try to avoid thinking too much about what I’m inspired by. I think my personal experiences, though, have unavoidably inspired a lot of what I do.
What would you do with $25,000?The idea of winning this prize almost seems like something unattainable, to the point that I find it rather difficult to realistically imagine what I would do with the money. I think I would want to hold onto a lot of it, while allocating a certain amount towards working on new projects.
