My art is my lifeline. As a chronically ill creator, my energy isn't always available, so I have much time to ponder about pieces to come.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Any art with meaning. Mostly mixed media.
Where do you find inspiration? My daily life and daily struggles with multiple sclerosis. My health drastically declined after having a child to the point where my eyes were paralyzed briefly in October, and I'm currently unable to walk properly and walk with a cane. At 33 years old!! So of course, I could be upset about it, and trust me, I grieve a lot. But I always wanted to be a powerful artist since I was 4. And that's the main thing. I know my worth.
What would you do with $25,000?I would reinvest in the people that made my career possible! I have a project coming soon called "Support a Muse" and it showcases artwork made by me through inspiration from a muse (usually anyone close with me like friends and family). That artwork becomes a limited edition print, and all proceeds of the prints go straight back into the original muse. I want to pay it forward. I also have MS, and the $25,000 can help me slow down a little on the days I need to. It helps my art flourish, too.
