I prefer dark fantasy paintings. I feel the themes I express are best rendered through fantasy-coded symbols and imagery.
Where do you find inspiration?Surprisingly, I get a lot of it from work. The conflict I have with their demands of conformity and control, the demand of time, the unfair exchange of my life and labor for a wage that doesn't afford me a dignified life. All of that somehow get's translated through mythical and psychological symbolism.
What would you do with $25,000?I won't lie, I'd put it towards my more ambitious projects as a creative director. In all likelihood, this money would continue to fund the arts through me, as much as it would fund my own pursuit of art.
