I enjoy challenging myself with surrealism art because I want to create something no one has seen before, and the fun part is the endless possibilities. My goal in creating is that the longer you look the more you see. My focus is on creativity and creating from imagination rather than real life references, it’s more fun and gives viewers a deeper understanding of my perspective of the world.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m inspired by my younger self, I’m always looking back at my old paintings and ideas because I had so much imagination and creativity it pushes me to want to be the artist I knew I can become at such a young age. I also get inspired by my surroundings and environment. I like to challenge myself by taking something I see and saying to myself “how can I turn this ordinary object into a piece of art someone can stare at for a long time and still not understand?”
What would you do with $25,000?I would take my family on a vacation this summer out of state, and I would take time off work to produce more art for people to enjoy.
