I believe that artist residencies open doors to a wider audience and create a transformation within both the artist and the environment where the residency is held. I am passionate about developing this concept because, as a visual artist, it allows me to document the experience while simultaneously acting as a cultural ambassador, empowering others to create and develop their artwork in Miami.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life, in the visual richness of my surroundings, in the textures that envelop us, and in the shifting light throughout the day. From my perspective, inspiration is a constant exercise in observing and appreciating the details around us.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, we could fund the artist residency program at Huellas del Arte Miami for the remainder of 2026. This will serve to document the journey through the city of artists from various latitudes and disciplines. The goal is to use Miami as a living canvas to explore new creative territories, but also to find new ways to perceive the cultural richness generated in a city where so many cultures intersect.
