Art is my escape-it gives me peace, expression, and a place to feel whole when life feels broken. It gives my story a voice and empowerment
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m drawn to raw, emotionally driven abstract art with pieces that feel more than they explain. I use bold movement, heavy texture, and layered contrast to translate complex emotions into something tangible. My work lives between chaos and control, often reflecting healing, identity, and resilience. I don’t aim for perfection—I create to evoke, to release, and to make others feel understood.
Where do you find inspiration?I’m a single mother of two boys, and they are the heartbeat behind everything I create. My hopes and dreams for them inspire my work, while art remains my refuge and strength. It’s something I carry as deeply as I carry them—turning love, struggle, and resilience into something that can be seen&felt.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in creating a small art space where I can both create and teach. I want to offer classes and opportunities for kids—especially those who need a safe, creative outlet like I once did. Art changed my life, and I want to build a space where others can express, heal, and discover their own voice
