Photography is my favorite form of art. Looking through my lens feels like using a third eye, revealing hidden details and the soul behind the world. I often feel something just beneath the surface—wild, just out of reach—and through my camera, I try to catch a glimpse of it. Color brings emotion and life, while black and white strips things to their essence. Through both, I capture how I see and feel a moment.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from surrealism and photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson, whose images feel like moments pulled from a dream. I’m also inspired by my love of nature, much like Ansel Adams. Beyond that, my own dreams and experiences shape my work, guiding me to capture not just what I see, but what I feel.
What would you do with $25,000?While trying to raise my family and finish college, this prize would give my family stability and me the chance to keep going. More than that, it would allow me to truly pursue photography—not just as something I love, but as a path forward. It would give me the time, tools, and freedom to grow, create, and turn something meaningful into a future.
