Art is how my soul speaks to the universe, transforming raw emotion, buried memory, and quiet mystery into something visible and alive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I don’t create one type of art. I create from a place beyond words, where feeling comes first and meaning takes shape after. Abstract and mixed media feel most honest because they let me express without explaining. There are no rules, only instinct. I trust what comes through: emotion, memory, even confusion. My work is imperfect and sometimes unresolved, just like me. In that space, I find honesty. Each piece is paired with a poem that deepens what is felt, carrying traces of memory and loss.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration finds me more than I search for it. It appears in quiet moments: watching the ocean, sitting with the mystery of the universe, or within the chaos and beauty of life. It comes when something inside me shifts before I can name it. I’m drawn to the unseen: intuition, dreams, grief, love, nostalgia, and confusion. Most of all, I’m moved by the truth that everyone carries untold stories. My art is where I translate mine into something honest, direct, and unfiltered, before they are lost.
What would you do with $25,000?First, I would work to recover as many of my mother’s paintings as possible. She never sold one, and they are fragments of her life and legacy now scattered in the hands of strangers. Bringing them home feels like reclaiming a part of her life. With the rest, I would invest in creating a more intentional body of work; working steadily, refining my practice, and sharing it more consistently. This would allow me to build work rooted in memory, presence, and the continuation of her quiet influence.
