Painting is a means of displaying what’s inside me and who I am to others- sometimes even to myself. By extension it’s a display of humanity
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to capture the quiet moments that not everyone sees, but that everyone experiences: old friends getting back together, a new couple enjoying a coffee break, birds sharing space on an electrical wire. The soft moments that don’t make a statement, but echo in our lives. In a world consumed by instant gratification, these slow encounters remind us to live.
Where do you find inspiration?Life is so vibrant and beautiful, if you look through the right lens. Inspiration is all around us waiting to be found. I don’t have to look hard; I just need to look right.
What would you do with $25,000?The prize money would bring me the financial liberty to create artworks to donate. There are several community organizations I would like to curate paintings for.
