Art is one of the most powerful forms of humanity. It transcends language, culture, and experience. It’s human nature captured in time.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art would be story telling. It could be portraiture, abstract, or watercolor, but if it tells a story that can be interpreted differently based on an individual’s experience, then it’s my favorite. To me, that is art at its truest form.
Where do you find inspiration?I find it in everything, the human experience is endless. You can always learn something and step into someone else’s shoes. That is what gives my art life. Anything from culture, emotions, trauma, and fleeting memories, they all stem into creation.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it for art supplies and to help my mother. My father passed away when I was 15 and it’s been her and I ever since. She works extremely hard, more than 12 hours a day , to support us. So I want to give back to her and help her in any way possible. I want to use the money for a down payment on a house that she can live in for the rest of her life. With that she can actually enjoy her retirement. So if I have a shot at giving her that, then I’ll work as hard as possible.
