I love creating art because it lets me express my culture and identity through photography and share my perspective with others.

My favorite type of art to create is photography. It’s something I taught myself, and over time it became a true passion. I enjoy capturing meaningful moments, exploring identity, and documenting culture through my lens. Photography allows me to tell stories, express emotion, and create images that feel personal and intentional.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everyday life experiences and the people around me. I’m drawn to genuine moments, emotions, and the beauty in ordinary situations. I also find inspiration in the joy of creating something new and meaningful for others to connect with. Each project gives me the opportunity to explore new ideas and tell stories that feel honest and personal.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would continue growing my creative journey and education. I’m about to graduate from Chaffey College with a degree in photography, and I hope to transfer to Cal State Long Beach to further my studies. This support would help cover tuition, materials, and allow me to keep creating meaningful work while focusing on my artistic and academic goals.
