I am a mixed-media artist, performer and storyteller with unique projects such as my original Companion Plant series (corn husk hand puppets) that includes my love of painting on canvas, sculpting, live and video performance. And all my stories include a song.

I find inspiration everywhere—nature, people, and everyday life. I’m inspired by moments that spark conversations with others. My work is shaped by my adventures on land and sea. I'm deeply connected to nature and its wonders from tiny creatures found in tide pools to majestic whales breeching in the open ocean. I'm especially inspired by Indigenous cultures that recognize and respect the natural world. I also find inspiration from my family, friends, teachers and fellow artists.

I work in a corner of my bedroom and in a portion of a small garage. I need a fully functioning and well-equipped studio. I incur ongoing expenses while giving live and videotaped performances in libraries, schools and senior centers throughout the Greater Bay Area. I would seek professional advice related to running a small business and to increase my artistic skills. Funding would help me to expand my artist reach regionally, perhaps nationally. And, I would always add a song.
