I paint to give form to emotion—turning silence, memory, and light into something that can be felt.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create realistic oil paintings with a strong emotional and symbolic presence. My work is influenced by classical styles like Baroque and Romanticism, with dramatic lighting and deep color palettes. I often paint animals, human figures, and meaningful objects, blending realism with storytelling to create pieces that feel alive, intimate, and timeless.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in emotion, nature, and personal experiences. Living in Colorado, I’m drawn to landscapes, wildlife, and changing light. I also find inspiration in Mexican culture, symbolism, and classical art. My work often begins with a feeling—something I want to understand or express—and evolves into a visual story.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my transition into a full-time artist by building a studio, purchasing professional materials, and developing a strong, cohesive collection. I would also allocate funds to professional documentation, marketing, and exhibitions to expand my reach and establish a sustainable art career.
