I love creating art that is fun & unique. I’m always into new things, painting murals, canvases, wooden panels, leather purses, and drawing illustrations. I just love creating. If the brush is in my hand I am happy, even if it is a challenge, I’ll always be up for it because I know I get the opportunity to learn. Creating mixed media art is probably my favorite, I have a series called “Fishy News”. I painted various aquatic fish on top of newspaper cuttings that I glued onto a canvas.

I get inspiration from a lot of different things actually. Sometimes it’s from own photos I’ve taken and experiences I’ve had or from Pinterest. I love nature and animals so my art is mostly that. I used to be a pre-school teacher so a lot of my art is kid friendly and child like inspired. My fiancée is a songwriter/artist and sometimes I get inspired by him as well. It’s mostly things that I love, and want to be surrounded by, is what I create and get inspiration from.

I would finally open up my own art studio and have art classes for all ages to come create with me. I want to inspire my community and I want to connect with people. I want to change other peoples life like this award would change mine. If given the opportunity this would help make that happen.
