I create art out of moments that almost broke me- including my struggle with addiction, insecurities, poverty, societal norms and pressures (generational curses), trauma, mental health issues. I work in symbols and stories, taking things I survived and shaping them into things others can hold (physically or metaphorically or both) my art is where shame meets light, pressure into purpose and pain into something that doesn’t have to hide. Everything I do/make is a piece of the girl who remembers
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my own and others ability to be resourceful, kind, caring and compassionate regardless of trials and tribulations. There is beauty in the struggle
What would you do with $25,000?I would get myself a new car and a home for me and my son for our stability and start getting recording equipment to make music since I also love to sing and perform!
