I create emotionally driven work centered on women—the weight we carry, the silence we keep, and the desire to feel seen, free, and not alone. My pieces explore the quiet injustices we absorb to “keep the peace,” often at the cost of our own. I primarily use acrylics but incorporate mixed media intuitively to match the depth and complexity of the emotions I’m expressing.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from emotional tension—unspoken experiences, personal loss, and the quiet struggles many carry alone. I distill these into a feeling or “vibe” and refine it until it resonates deeply. Having faced grief, chronic illness, and identity shifts, I create to make sense of it all—and to help others feel seen, understood, and less alone in their own experiences.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in building a sustainable foundation for my work—allocating funds toward marketing, professional development, and tools that expand my creative capacity. This would allow me to reach more people with art that fosters connection and understanding. My goal is not only growth, but impact—creating work that helps others feel less alone while building a stable future as an artist.
