The chaotic circumstances of my life have pushed me to self isolate and paint.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love a surreal vibe. I love art that isn't exact but you know what it is because it's a shared human experience.
Where do you find inspiration?I'm inspired by the kinds of worlds that feel born out of life's heavier moments- where reality bends and becomes something stranger-imprecise and abstract, but still emotionally meaningful-where imperfection carries meaning.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the 25,000 to grow my surreal, dreamlike art and expand its connection to mental health awareness. I create work inspired by emotionally charged, Dali/Van Goph-like worlds, often painting on found materials like cardboard and Styrofoam to show that art doesn’t require expensive supplies to be meaningful. I would use the funds to develop a stronger body of work and also bring accessible, low-cost art materials and workshops to underfunded communities, encouraging creative expression.
