Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favourite art to create is sometimes complex, other times entirely self serving. I love to create a world digitally, where zooming in reveals intricate details. Or funny ones family requests. I like a mixed media approach of acrylic on canvas and entirely digital work but have been dipping my toes into miniatures. From a characters outfit and expression telling you about who they are and what they’ve been through to elaborate landscapes with hidden meanings.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere I think, when I see amazing works other artists have created and I want to capture the feeling the painting evoked in me. Or gorgeous city scapes with technicolor skylines, I love animation of any genre and nationality, the world’s painstakingly crafted. But I also believe that comes from my love of fantasy and novels in general. A piece that keeps giving every-time you reexamine it.

What would you do with $25,000?

Honestly, it’s something I never thought I’d be asked, as well as imagined my self trying to answer as honestly as possible. Growing up lower middle class, I would definitely help my mom and dad out a little first. Art wise? I’d love to possibly open a studio/gallery a place to create and a place to display the works of other artists in the community. I’m currently attending an art school in Toronto and $25,000 would change a lot about what I’m able to do to support others.
