I am a multidisciplinary artist. I love to experiment with my creative and see where it can truly take me. I have been focusing in on oil painting/oil pastel work as well as poetry and calligraphy, but within my own style. I do not believe in putting my abilities all in one box. Creating is truly a magical thing to be able to harness and once you unleash the pure form of that it can be hard to pin down a favorite. I want to continue to look at different forms of mediums with true curiosity.

I stepped away from art for about 8 years. It was a heavy and intense part of my life, but it is where I came to understand inspiration deeper. I couldn't get it during that time because I wasn't able to truly face myself and my reality. It wasn't until I started the deep and intense work of healing that it started to trickle back in... and then all at once. My works are parts of my soul that need to be released in the TRUE aspects of my experiences.

I live in rural Iowa... which is my hometown. I didn't envision myself being back here, but life took me on a detour that I wasn't wanting to face. I pulled my dreams off the table and I am proud to have them and chase them, feverishly, again. The $25,000 would help me to be able to shift truly focusing on my art career. I am still having so many people tell me "you need that security" but my creative is screaming to be able to flow in the way that it needs. It would be a start to that security.
