I am a painter. My favorite way to work and express myself is through painting. The malleability reminds me of everyday life. I can do and undo with paint, add and subtract. I love to see things build up slowly in my work.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration strikes me everyday. Looking at old photographs, of family or strangers, gives me the motivation to paint. I try to uncover the stories of those before me.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would be life changing. It would take away a level of worry for me. I would use the money to fund my art supplies, application fees for residencies and grants, and potentially even rent out a studio space.
