I create art because art gives me an outlet to express emotions that are challenging to express with words.

Receive Text UpdatesFavorite type of art to create is usually with the medium of acrylic painting. However, I have a wide range of mediums I work with including oil, chalk pastel, printmaking, watercolor, and I dabble in film photography. I focus on depictions of nature inspired imagery. I am really into concepts of nature being a healing tool. With that being said, much of my work uses nature to embody themes of healing, growth and expansion.
Where do you find inspiration? As mentioned, much of my inspiration comes from nature. This could mean landscapes, geometric symbols that are naturally occurring, and mostly animals. Much of my work features bird form due to the idea that birds can represent freedom, healing, etc.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would use to go towards moving into a graduate program in the fine arts. With being first generation college student, studying art education, money does not easily come into my life. Affording college is quite difficult. $25,000 would allow me to continue my dreams of someday having an MFA. Additionally, I would use some of the money for living costs due to increasing housing prices.
